Photo Essay

This weekend started playoffs for baseball and for me this was a scary, but exciting moment for me because it is the last year that I will ever play baseball.
Baseball has been a big part of High School for me and this barn is where I have spent the majority of my time after school early in the mornings and late after school. Looking at it knowing that it could be my last time stepping foot in there was surreal.
While getting ready for the game in the locker room I looked at the cages seeing my teammates preparing for one of the biggest games of the year.
As runners started to get on base there was a sense of nervousness in the air that made our dream of playing another game and hopefully continuing to the championship game daunting.

After what was a close game we won the first of what hopefully is many more knowing that we would all get to play with each other at least one last time.

"Sweet Surrender"

I thought that taking pictures of tulips would be fitting for my phrase because the colors really pop out and there is something sweet about them to me. These pictures were taken at a Tulip Festival in Woodburn.
